SPRING/SUMMER 2015

CONCRETE JUNGLE SURVIVOR

Imagining the vigorous youth that survive street life, real life graffiti artists in Tokyo are the true inspiration for this collection. Introduced is the latest in textile technology "real stone fabric"--thinly sliced stone processed to become pliable. Graffitiing on these fabrics become a legitimate representation of the art usually seen on city buildings and walls. Seen in the collection are masks made of randomly collaged 3D scans of the models' faces, mocking those that graffiti artists often use to hide their identities. Hints of hippie culture, military and street styles can be found in the self-customization and exaggerated sizes of the clothing.
